- Searching for multiple words connects them with OR by default. Matching records can contain any of the words.

Wilmington, N. C. monogram "ERL"(may end in C instead of L) A match case, or safe, would safely hold a few match sticks to be carried in a pocket or purse. Common in the 1800's. Friction matches, which were used then, could ignite unexpectedly when carried loosely.

Alcohol burner, or spirit lamp is a piece of labratory equipment used to produce an open flame. The cap would be used to snuff out the flame. It was not as hot a flame as a bunsen burner, but could be used in a lab without access to natural gas needed for bunsen burners.

This was a popular form of home entertainment. A card with two photographs of the same image would be placed on the holder. When looked through the viewers, the images would appear to be one three dimensional image. It is stamped - Universal Photo Art Co Philedelphia, USA PAT'D July 28, 08 Card Read- patented by Underwood & Underwood of New York in 1901 part of the "Botanic Studies through the Stereoscope"
